I was mounting a cargo rack to the inside wall of my trailer and had no way to get behind the panel. These solved it in about ten minutes. Drilled, dropped them in, tightened the screw and they locked down solid. Rack hasn't budged in four months of towing.

As the screw pulls, the petal body folds outward and clamps behind the panel. That leaves you with a real machine thread in material that was never thick enough to hold one.
Bolt into it, take the bolt out, bolt into it again. Sheet metal screws can't do that.
The whole install happens from the front, so it works in trailer walls, body panels, and ducting where you can't reach behind.
