30 or 90 jack nuts in M4, M5, and M6 with screws included. Drill, drop in, tighten. The petals fold out behind the panel and you've got a permanent machine thread in sheet metal, drywall, plywood, or plastic.
Carbon steel, zinc plated so it holds up in the shop, the bay, or outside. All three sizes on hand means you finish the job the first time.
🔩 no rivet gun, just a drill and a screwdriver.

M4, M5, and M6 with matching screws, plus the chart most kits leave out. Exact drill bit, grip range, and material thickness for every size.

You drill one hole, drop the nut in, and tighten the screw.
As the screw pulls, the petal body folds outward and clamps behind the panel. That leaves you with a real machine thread in material that was never thick enough to hold one.
Bolt into it, take the bolt out, bolt into it again. Sheet metal screws can't do that.
The whole install happens from the front, so it works in trailer walls, body panels, and ducting where you can't reach behind.
No welding, no rivet gun, no backing plate. Just a drill and a screwdriver.
Yes. Every GripNut kit ships with three free extras:
The bit cuts the hole. The chart tells you which size to use. The guarantee covers you if one ever fails.
No. If you can use a drill and a screwdriver, you can install these.
There's no special tool to buy and no technique to learn. Drill, insert, tighten. Most people get the first one in under two minutes.
Pros use them for the same reason beginners do: it's the fastest way to put a thread in thin material.
Sheet metal, drywall, plywood, plastic, fiberglass, and thin panel of most kinds. Anything too thin to hold a threaded fastener on its own.
Each size has its own grip range. The included sizing chart lists the drill bit and material thickness for M4, M5, and M6 so you don't have to guess.
No. Carbon steel with zinc plating. They hold up in humid shops, engine bays, and outdoor mounts. For saltwater or constant submersion, use stainless.
More than a sheet metal screw in the same panel, because the load spreads across the folded petals instead of a few threads biting into thin material. Pull-out strength depends on your panel thickness.
The screw backs out and can be reused as many times as you want. The nut body itself is permanent once the petals are set.
The 30-piece if you have one job in mind. The 90-piece or even more i'd do if you're doing a van build, a trailer, or shop cabinets, where you'll burn through one size fast.
