Every Thin Panel Job Made Simple

30 or 90 jack nuts in M4, M5, and M6 with screws included. Drill, drop in, tighten. The petals fold out behind the panel and you've got a permanent machine thread in sheet metal, drywall, plywood, or plastic.

Carbon steel, zinc plated so it holds up in the shop, the bay, or outside. All three sizes on hand means you finish the job the first time.

🔩 no rivet gun, just a drill and a screwdriver.

DIYers are calling it the "fastener that should've existed"

Hold Tight Guarantee

If GripNut doesn't hold, you don't pay. Put it to work on your license plate, trim, trailer wall, or whatever's giving you trouble. If it doesn't grip as expected in 90 days, send us a photo and your order number and we'll fully refund you.

No return needed, and you keep the nuts. After 90 days, you're still covered by lifetime replacements, so if a nut ever fails to grip, we'll send you a new one free.

FAQ's

How do jack nuts actually work?

You drill one hole, drop the nut in, and tighten the screw.

As the screw pulls, the petal body folds outward and clamps behind the panel. That leaves you with a real machine thread in material that was never thick enough to hold one.

Bolt into it, take the bolt out, bolt into it again. Sheet metal screws can't do that.

The whole install happens from the front, so it works in trailer walls, body panels, and ducting where you can't reach behind.

No welding, no rivet gun, no backing plate. Just a drill and a screwdriver.

Do free gifts come with every order?

Yes. Every GripNut kit ships with three free extras:

  • Step Drill Bit – $8.99 value, free
  • Jack Nut Sizing Chart – $4.99 value, free
  • Lifetime Replacements – $14.99 value, free

The bit cuts the hole. The chart tells you which size to use. The guarantee covers you if one ever fails.

Do I need to be experienced to install these?

No. If you can use a drill and a screwdriver, you can install these.

There's no special tool to buy and no technique to learn. Drill, insert, tighten. Most people get the first one in under two minutes.

Pros use them for the same reason beginners do: it's the fastest way to put a thread in thin material.

What materials can I use them in?

Sheet metal, drywall, plywood, plastic, fiberglass, and thin panel of most kinds. Anything too thin to hold a threaded fastener on its own.

How thick can the material be?

Each size has its own grip range. The included sizing chart lists the drill bit and material thickness for M4, M5, and M6 so you don't have to guess.

Will they rust?

No. Carbon steel with zinc plating. They hold up in humid shops, engine bays, and outdoor mounts. For saltwater or constant submersion, use stainless.

How much weight will they hold?

More than a sheet metal screw in the same panel, because the load spreads across the folded petals instead of a few threads biting into thin material. Pull-out strength depends on your panel thickness.

Can I remove them?

The screw backs out and can be reused as many times as you want. The nut body itself is permanent once the petals are set.

Which set should I get?

The 30-piece if you have one job in mind. The 90-piece or even more i'd do if you're doing a van build, a trailer, or shop cabinets, where you'll burn through one size fast.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship GripNut worldwide. If your country shows up at checkout, we can get it to your door.

Made My Last Repair a Lot Easier

Had to fasten a bracket where I couldn’t get behind the panel to use a nut. These saved me a ton of time. Drilled the hole, set the fastener, and moved on. Strong hold without having to tear half the thing apart.

    No More Stripped Sheet Metal

I've chewed out more sheet metal screws than I want to admit. Used these to remount a fender liner and it's a different world. You get a real machine thread instead of a screw biting into thin steel.

The Size Selection Is Actually Useful

I’ve used these on everything from lighter sheet metal to heavier brackets around the shop. Having multiple sizes in one kit means I’m not improvising every time the material changes. They’ve earned a permanent spot in my toolbox.
